We are memory makers.
We use the arts to connect with people who have Alzheimer’s & other forms of memory loss.
Since last November, we have done art and cultural programs with more than 600 of our friends, family members, and neighbors living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia in NY’s Southern Tier.
We also have spoken to nearly 2,500 people nation-wide about the benefits of the arts for people with memory loss…and those benefits are huge!
After one Artist Workshop, a participant remarked, “This is what I was talking about….we need more of this. We shouldn’t be coloring in the lines. This pulls from the mind and gets the hands moving.”
Please help us get more hands moving by contributing to the Memory Maker Project!
The Memory Maker Project is proud to be a project of the Center for Transformative Action, which is an affiliate of Cornell University and a registered 501(c)3.
Our office space is generously donated by Christ Episcopal Church.
